In 2009 Russell Young travelled by boat to Ithaca to perform Goat Blood, an investigation into printing, inspired by the Shroud of Turin and ideas that had been rolling around in his head for years. This book documents that performance and Young's use of the blood as pigment and himself as the image imposed upon the linen of a dear friend. The photographs of the performance are presented in this hand bound book, in four color screen prints, as testament to the physicality of the process of an idea moving from glimmer to stone.
